Using Friction to Slow Down

Hóuzi needs to get some bananas from the tree at the top of the hill to his house at the bottom of the hill. We used our knowledge of friction to build a sled that would help Hóuzi transport his bananas, our sleds had to go slow enough to ensure the bananas didn't fall off. Check out our building and testing in action.

Our favourite design was the sled with wood wrapped in cardboard, the cardboard created just the right amount of friction to slow the sled down .

Showing the Key Values in School

These two super students are the first two in room 22 to reach five stickers on their charts in class.  Students earn stickers by showing the Arahoe Key Values and Key Competencies.  How many stickers have you got on your chart so far this year?

Disaster Plasters

Wow we had three top sellers in our class, thanks to everyone for your support!  Our fundraising is going towards an upgrade to the pool and improve the outdoors area around our new building.
